This beautiful sterling silver necklace was made using natural stones like faceted lapis lazuli 19.6 x 13.2 mm, round amber 15 mm, and rosecut green opal 12x 13 mm. The stones were set into a bezel made of fine silver bezel wire and a backplate made of sterling silver. Each stone is connected to the next by a soldered silver jump ring allowing this design to move beautifully. the handcrafted chain was made with 20 gauge sterling silver that was formed into links and connected with jump rings. The hook is also made with 18 gauge sterling silver wire. The necklace has been oxidized to highlight and to contrast the beautiful colors on the stones and a layer of Renaissance Jeweler's wax is applied to preserve the patina. Pendant measures ~3 1/2 inches long and 1 inch wide. The sterling silver back plate is .925 and stamped. The chain is 16 inch long.
